SUBSCRIPTION POLICY
Never Run Out of the Good Stuff
The Riviera Coffee subscription is built around one idea: your coffee should arrive before you even think to order it — roasted the day it ships, fresh every single time. This policy explains everything you need to know about how your subscription works, what you can change, and how to manage it on your terms.
1. How Subscriptions Work
When you purchase a Riviera Coffee subscription, you are enrolling in a recurring delivery programme. Here is what that means:
- You select your coffee, your preferred bag size, and your delivery frequency (weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly)
- Your payment method is charged automatically on your chosen billing cycle
- Your coffee is roasted to order on or immediately following your billing date — never in advance, never sitting in a warehouse
- Your freshly roasted bag is then packed and shipped directly to your door
- You will receive an email confirmation for every charge and a separate shipping notification with tracking for every dispatch
Your subscription continues on a recurring basis until you choose to pause, modify, or cancel it. There are no long-term commitments and no contracts.
2. Billing & Pricing
- You will be charged the price displayed at the time of subscription enrollment for each recurring order
- All charges are processed in US Dollars (USD)
- Your payment details are stored securely by our payment processor in compliance with PCI-DSS standards — Riviera Coffee does not store your full card details
- You will receive an email notification at least 3 days before each upcoming subscription charge, giving you time to make any changes before the order is processed
- If a price change occurs, we will notify you by email at least 7 days in advance of the change taking effect, in compliance with the FTC Negative Option Rule (16 C.F.R. Part 425, amended 2024) and applicable state auto-renewal laws
3. Subscription Frequency Options

You can change your delivery frequency at any time through your account portal with no penalty.
4. Managing Your Subscription
You have full control over your subscription at all times. You can make changes through your account at rivieracoffee.com or by contacting us directly.
What You Can Change:
- Delivery frequency
- Coffee selection and roast
- Bag size and quantity
- Shipping address
- Payment method
- Next order date
How to Make Changes:
- Log into your account at rivieracoffee.com and navigate to Manage Subscription
- Email us at info@rivieracoffee.com
- Call us at 480-802-8077
All changes must be made at least 48 hours before your next scheduled billing date to take effect for that cycle. Changes requested after this window will apply to the following cycle.
5. Pausing Your Subscription
You can pause your subscription at any time — no questions asked.
- Log into your account and select Pause Subscription
- Choose a resume date, or leave it open-ended
- If a resume date is selected, your subscription will automatically reactivate and charge on that date
- If no resume date is selected, your subscription will remain paused indefinitely until you choose to reactivate it manually
- You will not be charged during any pause period
- There is no limit to how many times you can pause your subscription
6. Cancellation Policy
You may cancel your subscription at any time with no cancellation fees and no penalties.
How to Cancel:
- Log into your account at rivieracoffee.com and select Cancel Subscription — this is the fastest method and takes effect immediately
- Email us at info@rivieracoffee.com with your account name and order details
- Call us at 480-802-8077 during business hours
Cancellation requests submitted by email or phone will be processed within 72 hours. To avoid being charged for your next cycle, please submit your cancellation request at least 48 hours before your next scheduled billing date.
Once a subscription order has been roasted and dispatched, it cannot be canceled or refunded, as it was prepared specifically for you.
In compliance with the FTC Negative Option Rule (2024) and applicable state auto-renewal laws, cancellation of your subscription is available through the same channel you used to enroll — including directly through our website without requiring you to contact customer support.
7. Order Cancellation — Single Orders
For one-time (non-subscription) orders:
- You may request a cancellation within 4 hours of placing your order
- After 4 hours, your order may have entered the roast queue and cannot be canceled
- To request a cancellation, contact us immediately at info@rivieracoffee.com or call 480-802-8077 with your order number
- If the cancellation is approved before roasting begins, a full refund will be issued to your original payment method within 3–5 business days
- There are no restocking fees for orders canceled within the eligible window
- Modifications to order quantities or shipping address may be accommodated if requested before the order enters the roast queue — contact us as early as possible
8. Limited Drop Order Cancellations
Limited drop single origin orders are subject to special terms due to the time-sensitive and small-batch nature of each release:
- Drop orders may be canceled within 2 hours of purchase only
- After 2 hours, drop orders are locked and enter the roast schedule — cancellations are not possible after this window
- Drop orders cannot be exchanged for a different product or held for a future drop
- All drop sales are final once the cancellation window has closed
9. Refunds
- Approved order cancellations (within the applicable timeframe) will be refunded in full to the original payment method within 3–5 business days
- Subscription charges that were processed before a cancellation request was received are non-refundable if roasting has already commenced
- If a subscription order is lost in transit or arrives damaged, please refer to our Shipping Policy for the claims process
- Riviera Coffee does not offer refunds on the basis of personal taste preference — however, if something went wrong with your order, contact us and we will make it right
10. Free Shipping on Subscriptions
All active subscription orders ship free, with no minimum order value required. Free shipping applies to standard delivery within the contiguous United States. Alaska and Hawaii subscriptions ship free at standard USPS rates.
11. Subscription & Auto-Renewal Disclosure
In accordance with applicable US federal and state auto-renewal laws, including the California Automatic Renewal Law (Cal. Bus. & Prof. Code § 17600 et seq.), the FTC Negative Option Rule (16 C.F.R. Part 425), and similar laws in Colorado, Virginia, New York, and other states, we clearly disclose the following at the point of subscription enrollment:
- Your subscription will automatically renew at the end of each billing cycle
- You will be charged the applicable rate for each renewal cycle
- You may cancel at any time through your account portal, by email, or by phone
- You will receive advance notice of any price changes before they take effect
- A full description of the subscription terms is provided before purchase is completed
12. Failed Payments
If a subscription payment fails:
- We will notify you immediately by email
- We will attempt to process the payment again after 3 business days
- If the second attempt fails, your subscription will be paused automatically to prevent further failed charges
- You can update your payment method at any time through your account portal to reactivate your subscription
- Riviera Coffee reserves the right to cancel a subscription after two consecutive failed payment attempts
